Ice Water with Fresh Fruit

I was outside mowing the lawn after church dreaming about what I could drink that would quench my thirst without being plain old water, and ice water with fresh fruit sounded so refreshing! Lucky for me, I had strawberries, basil and lemons from an earlier shopping trip. Soon I’ll be able to go grab strawberries and basil from my garden, but for today I was super thankful that “past me” made “present me” able to have a cool glass of delicious water!

Look at these colors!

I sliced the lemon and gave a slight squeeze to each ring before I tossed it in my pitcher. I also added in sliced strawberries and tore some pieces of basil to release its flavor.

Delicious and Nutritious

And there you have it! Delicious and nutritious, no sugar, no dyes added. I think the presentation also adds such beauty to the table. Beautiful food always tastes better too, in my opinion!

Cheers!

Good to the last drop! Enjoy!

Need other ideas for a cool drink?

Experiment with your favorite fresh fruits and vegetables! Cucumbers, basil, lemons, oranges, watermelon, blueberries, raspberries, carrots, and apples are a few favorites of mine! What combination is your favorite?
