Jambalaya
Ingredients
Creole Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
Jambalaya
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 stalks of celery, chopped
- 2 bell peppers (I subbed zucchini for one of the peppers)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups rice
- 1.5 pounds pork sausage
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup butter, or oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown rice in butter. Add raw sausage and fry until done. Add chopped vegetables and 2 tablespoons of seasoning (more if desired). Sauté until vegetables are soft. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce temperature to low for 30 minutes. Fluff and serve!
